Continuation to Telouet, visit of the Kasbah Glaoui (Palais du Glaoui). The current Kasbah was built by the Glaoua from 1860. Historically, it is the passage of the merchant caravans, which connected the desert to the South of Morocco to the big cities North of the High Atlas.
The village of Ait Ben Haddou is located in the province of Ouarzazate, on a hill along the Ounila Valley, at the time was an important stopover for traders transporting gold, salt, and slaves.
The place was used for filming several films such as Asterix and Obelix, Lawrence of Arabia (1962), a tea in the Sahara (1990), Alexandre (2004). Return to Marrakech at the end of the day.
